Join Leslie Day, author of Field Guide to the Natural World of New York City and Field Guide to the Neighborhood Birds of New York City for a virtual tour of how animals survive winter in Fort Tryon Park. Learn about our flying squirrels, songbirds, birds of prey, squirrels, raccoons, woodchucks and skunks, butterflies and moths, preying mantises, honeybees and bumblebees. Learn what animals migrate, what animals stay here, and how they survive frigid temperatures.
