Fort Tryon Park 90th Birthday Video

Watch our Video Celebrating 90 Years of Fort Tryon Park!

Nine decades ago, John D. Rockefeller, Jr. gifted the completed park to the City of New York, and it has served as an oasis of immense beauty, respite, and recreation ever since! Fort Tryon Park is considered the last masterwork of the Olmsted Brothers firm and manifests the designers’ vision of open space access and social equity.

Its majestic Palisades and Hudson River views, topographic landscapes, abundant gardens, rusticated stone walls, terraces, and staircases along with diverse recreational amenities make it one of the most magnificent parks in New York City.
