From high above the Hudson, upper Manhattan is loaded with marvels that sparkle! Join tour guide Stan O’Connor, owner of Isle of New York Tours. See the site of the 2017 avalanche that broke through reinforced concrete barricades and crushed parked cars! Learn why the northern end of Manhattan is so “gneiss.”

Geology is a hot mess – we’re talking volcano hot – of physics, thermodynamics, and chemistry that combine to make Manhattan the most beautiful island on this entire sweet, swingin’ sphere. That’s why you want to learn all about the geologic history and treasures of Fort Tryon Park while taking panoramas of the Palisades and selfies with stalactites!

Program presented by the Fort Tryon Park Trust. Space is limited to 35 guests.
