Join us for the second performance of the 20th annual Scandinavian Music Festival, featuring the full New York Scandia Symphony with guest soloist Mayuki Fukuhara, violin, conducted by Dorrit Matson. Experience an extraordinary afternoon of Scandinavian orchestral works, including two world premieres and a range of masterworks from the Nordic tradition:

  • Nikolaj Hess – Pastorale Impressions

  • Johan Helmich Roman – Violin Concerto

  • Frank Foerster – Concertino Festivo (World Premiere)

  • Carl Nielsen – Little Suite and Bohemian-Danish Folksong Paraphrase

  • Josefine Opsahl – All We Know Is That It Radiates (World Premiere)

  • Edvard Grieg – Holberg Suite

Location: Cloisters Lawn (continue past the Heather Garden towards The Met Cloisters)
