Help Beautify Your Dog Run! NEW Monthly Volunteer Days!

Help Beautify Your Dog Run

The Fort Tryon Park Dog Run community is inviting dog owners, neighbors, and volunteers to lend a hand in keeping Manhattan’s largest dog run looking its best. Held on the third Sunday of every month from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., these volunteer days are a fun opportunity to improve the space while connecting with fellow park users and their four-legged companions.

Volunteers help with a variety of hands-on projects, including filling holes, spreading dirt and wood chips, pruning shrubs, and pulling weeds. Whether you’re a regular visitor or new to the dog run, there’s a task for everyone, and it’s a great way to meet neighbors who share a love for the park. Participants are encouraged to bring work gloves and gardening tools if they have them, though NYC Parks will have supplies available for those who need them.

In addition to volunteering, community members can support ongoing improvements by making a donation. Contributions help fund new benches, fencing upgrades, tools, and water services, ensuring the dog run remains a safe, welcoming, and enjoyable space for both dogs and their owners.

Whether you can spare a few hours or make a financial contribution, your support helps strengthen one of Fort Tryon Park’s most beloved community spaces. Join the effort and help keep the Fort Tryon Park Dog Run thriving for everyone to enjoy.
