Viva La Tierra: Great Ginko Tree Celebration
Sunday June 28, 4PM

Celebrate one of Fort Tryon Park’s most iconic treasures as Conservancy gardener Craig Peden officially inaugurates the Great Ginkgo as an NYC Parks Great Tree, followed by an outdoor concert by Jhoely Garay and her Viva La Tierra ensemble, whose blend of jazz and Latin American rhythms celebrates climate awareness, history, nature, and community beneath the tree’s golden autumn canopy.

Young nature explorers are invited to discover the birds of Fort Tryon Park through a fun, family-friendly adventure filled with birdwatching, observation, and hands-on learning about local wildlife.
