Throwback: Olmsted Promenade Sketch

Check out this sketch by the Olmsted Brothers from 1932, showing their vision for Fort Tryon Park as seen from the “Main Terrace” — what we now call Linden Terrace! 🌳
Remarkably, their design looks a lot like the park we enjoy today. Notice how the trees hadn’t yet grown to their full size — the sweeping views they envisioned are now beautifully framed by mature canopies that have taken nearly a century to flourish!
