Coming Up: Guided Birding Tour Round 2 Welcoming Spring to Fort Tryon!

You’ll never know what or who you’ll find at Fort Tryon Park!  Behold this stunning photo by our local birding expert Alexandra Wang of a beautiful bald eagle that visited our beloved park!

The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation shares these tips for spotting bald eagles in the winter months: Wintering eagles begin arriving in December, and concentrations peak in January and February. Most are heading back to their nests by mid-March. Look out for them up and down the Hudson River and Upper Delaware River watershed. Early mornings and late afternoons are the best time to look for these beautiful birds. 🌊

Want to see more? Join Alexandra for another fantastic guided birding walk on Saturday, March 22 at 2 PM. The tour will meet at Dongan Lawn on the Broadway side of the park. 🌿 Check out this link to reserve your free spot!

Did you know? You can learn more about the park’s bird habitat by checking out our birding plaques on the west side of Cabrini Boulevard!
