An Afternoon of Birds & Beauty: Guided Birding Walk Recap

Over 40 nature enthusiasts joined naturalists Leslie Day and Alexandra Wang for a guided birding walk in Fort Tryon Park, spotting various species and learning about the park’s wildlife..

Signs of spring were everywhere as we spotted various birds, including a yellow-bellied sapsucker, northern cardinal, blue jay, and robin. Experts guided us in identifying both resident and migrating species, from European starlings to a northern mockingbird mimicking other bird calls.

This immersive morning was a celebration of both nature and community, and we are so grateful for the enthusiasm of everyone who joined us. With such fantastic turnouts for our recent birding tours, we’re excited to announce that birding walks will return to Fort Tryon Park for more of 2025! Stay tuned for upcoming dates and details.
