Wulfric\, a misunderstood wolf with a sweet tooth\, crosses paths with Little Red on her travels to deliver her Grandma cupcakes and the trouble begins. This story offers a comical lesson on the importance to disconnect from our digital lives and enjoy real life moment with friends and family. \nAll are welcome! Enjoy live jazz by local musicians in the fresh air of Fort Tryon Park. \nStan Michels represented Northern Manhattan in the City Council for 24 years from 1978 through 2001. He was a steadfast advocate for parks\, allocating over $50 million for park improvements in Washington Heights\, Inwood\, and Harlem\, including virtually every playground in his district. SUMMARY:Medieval Festival
DESCRIPTION:Fort Tryon Park is transformed into a medieval market town decorated with bright banners and processional flags. Performers and guests dress in medieval costume. Visitors are greeted by authentic period music\, dance\, magic\, and minstrels\, as well as jugglers and jesters. The festival includes thrilling jousts between four knights on horseback. Experience the culture of a bygone era against the backdrop of The Met Cloisters and the Hudson River during autumn. There is fun for all ages. \n\n\n\nThis free event is produced by NYC Parks and the Washington Heights and Inwood Development Corporation with support from the Fort Tryon Park Trust. \nCostumed vendors will be on hand to demonstrate and sell a wide variety of medieval crafts as well as food and drink. \n\nTake the A train to 190th Street.  The Henry Hudson Parkway Fort Tryon Park exit will be closed to vehicular traffic during the Medieval Festival. For vehicle access\, arrange to drop off at 741 Fort Washington Avenue/Margaret Corbin Circle. Most areas are wheelchair accessible\, however\, those with mobility issues may experience difficulty maneuvering on lawn areas.
